During Spring Blake at Ole Red, “we’re rocking all kinds of concoctions,” but the Blake-a-Rita is our drink of choice. A no-frills cocktail Blake Shelton invented himself, the Blake-a-Rita will put you in that partying mood (as if you needed a reason) with the help of vodka — forget tequila — and splashes of lemon-lime soda and lime juice.
If you’d rather be drinking, forget the DIY and leave the mixology up to Ole Red. We’ll be serving the Blake-a-Rita at all Ole Red locations during the month of March. Hurry up now, Spring Blake won’t last forever — but that tattoo you got at 3 a.m. will.
Blake’s Original Blake-a-Rita
Serving: 1 cocktail
- 2 ounces Vodka
- Lemon-lime soda, to taste
- Lime juice, fresh or bottled (Seriously, that lime-shaped squirt bottle will do the trick.)
Fill glass with ice. Pour vodka and lemon-lime soda into glass and adjust ratio to taste. Add a squeeze of lime. Stir. Garnish with lime wedge if desired.
